Leather bags by Jujumade featuring stoneware details

Casey Larkin grew up in Houston, but her design work brought her to San Francisco and eventually Denmark, where she got married and started a family. It was the uniformity of Scandinavian style that inspired her to take a step in the opposite direction for her online store, Mr. Larkin, and stock it with whimsical pieces from like-minded designers who believe in environmentally friendly production. Now Larkin is back in Houston for the holidays and keeping busy with a month-long pop up shop in West University.

Printed dresses from Partimi and handmade fiber necklaces by Cave Collective

The designers featured come from all over: Danish label Kokoon hangs alongside American indie darlings like Dusen Dusen and In God We Trust. There are plenty of graduates of Central Saint Martins, the London breeding ground for fashion visionaries that brought us Alexander McQueen and Phoebe Philo.

If you're looking to get started on your Christmas shopping, check out the botanical printed tights from Strathcona, fuzzy hats from Nanuska, and even handmade dolls by Matilde Beldroega–an addition to the shop inspired by Larkin's daughter.
