University of Texas graduate Lisa Ostrin of Under Her Charm started her online shop seven years ago with a $12 industrial steel letter set from eBay which she still uses today. The University of Houston assistant professor works on her metalsmithing techniques in her home studio in her spare time. In addition to beautiful gemstone designs, Ostrin also makes charms that celebrate Texas pride. 

Distinctively Chic

Druzy heart stud earrings, $48 per pair

The death of Audria Baltzegar and Gail Baker’s mother’s from pancreatic cancer brought the two sisters together to open their collaborative store, Distinctively Chic. Their jewelry combines the natural beauty of leather, shark teeth and arrowheads with the glamour of druzy crystals and agate stones.

Hey, Bernadette!

Pac Man ghost earrings in navy blue, $14.50

Bernadette Fischer started her shop with cake toppers and soon branched out into jewelry when she discovered ultra-hypoallergenic titanium. Her first creation, Pac Man ghost earrings, are still her favorite creation and her shop's best seller. A self-taught artist, Fischer plans to expand her shop to include original typography and illustration paper goods and prints.
