In our ongoing quest to bring you news of the coolest pop-up dinners percolating around town, we have a double-shot of pop-up courtesy of The Flat. The Montrose lounge known for its Cocktails with Creatives nights and terrific taste in music—both live and spun by DJs—is hosting two pop-up meals starting next month.

The first is a Sunday Funday Brunch this Sunday, March 2 from 1 to 6 p.m. with chef Sean Hochstein, currently a sous chef at Eddie V's and Pappas Bros. Steakhouse. On the menu alongside pitchers of mojitos, bottles of champagne, and cocktails pairings: a Texas tomato salad; a Spam roll with kimchi and spicy hoisin sauce; roasted shisito peppers and brussels sprouts with yuzu and chili; short rib and poached eggs on an English muffin with Lone Star aioli; and a Belgian waffle with fruit, cinnamon-sugar butter, and Vermont maple syrup. The dishes range from $6 to $15.

The second pop-up meal takes place later in the month, and will feature chef German Mosquera of La Colombe d'Or. If you didn't get a chance to taste Mosquera's cooking at Roots Bistro before it closed, or you can't quite afford a night out at the ritzy Colombe, this is the meal for you—each dish will be between $7 and $10.

The Flat will host Mosquera's pop-up dinner on Tuesday, March 25 from 6 to 11 p.m. Meanwhile, The Flat's own kitchen is open every night from 4 p.m. until 1:45 a.m. (except Sundays, when it closes at 11 p.m.—sorry, Sunday night owls).
