By now, we hope you've devoured our Food Lovers Guide to Houston (it certainly seems that way at least—we can't keep them on the newsstands) and found plenty of tempting treats to check out the next time you're at the grocery store. You could go and seek them out yourself—the hunt is half the fun, after all—or you could let Houstonia and Revival Market gather them all up in one place, spread them out like a Viking feast, and let you smorgasbord your way through some of Houston's best bread, cheese, honey, and more.

If the latter option sounds attractive, you'll want to get your tickets now for the upcoming Food Lovers Guide Ultimate Tasting Event on Tuesday, March 25. Starting at 7 p.m., we'll be partnering up with Revival Market to bring some of the city's finest foods under one roof. You'll be free to snack, sip, and stroll your way through the offerings (which includes a complimentary open bar featuring Texas wines, Saint Arnold beer, and Deep Eddy vodka) as well as goodies from the following local purveyors:

  • Greenway Coffee
  • Slow Dough pretzels with Revival Market mustard
  • Chef's choice charcuterie and salumi from Revival Market
  • Cheese from the Houston Dairymaids
  • Desserts from Fluff Bake Bar
  • Cakes from Jodycakes
  • Ice cream from Fat Cat Creamery
  • Pasta from Tavola
  • Spice blends from Bravado Spice Co.

...and that's not even the final list. (Hint: there will be shucking...) Even better: if you like something you try, you can purchase it right there at Revival.

In addition, Revival Market's talented kitchen team will be whipping up sliders, fried bologna sandwiches, and dips in which to enjoy some garden-fresh vegetables from local farmers. We'll have live music outside on the patio, plenty of seating, and opportunities to talk to the butchers, bakers, and Fluffernutter-makers themselves.

Tickets are on sale now for $50, and space is limited. No tickets will be sold at the door, so pick them up online while you still can.
