Hear the news? After months of bone-chilling temperatures and massive snow and ice piles, the northeast is finally warming up. The skies are blue, the sun is out, and everything is melting.

Houstonians itching to visit New England can take advantage of the region's first hints of spring with a boat—erm, flight—load of deals from JetBlue and Hobby Airport. Or you can just skip the north altogether and head east to Florida instead.

JetBlue initially began expanding its Houston operations two years ago with direct flights between Hobby and Boston's Logan Airport. With new CEO Robin Hayes's involvement in the New York–based company, this expansion continues to be a top priority for the airline famous for preferring its customers and workforce over its board. Hayes does mean to improve the balance between inexpensive airfare and higher profits, but don't worry—that doesn't mean the deals are going anywhere anytime soon.

One-way to Boston (BOS) from $101

If you've got some free time at the end of March, why not take an extra long weekend in Boston? JetBlue is offering cheap one-way trips between Hobby and Logan on Tuesday, March 31. Take advantage, and get the chance to tour the Green Monster at Fenway Park before the season opener in April, check out a Bruins game at the TD Garden, and just see the city without all the frozen white stuff laying around.

One-way to Fort Myers, FL (RSW) from $120

Despite the above deal's timing, Boston will still be a little cold. So if you're not brave enough to experience a New England "spring," there's always Florida. One-way flights to Fort Myers for $120 a pop are all over the calendar next month—including Easter weekend and the weekend after.

Located on the banks of the Caloosahatchee River, Fort Myers is known as the City of Palms for a reason. The beaches are beautiful, the deep-sea fishing is prime, and the palm trees are everywhere. Spring? How about early summer instead?
