Truth be told, there was a lot of cool stuff happening this month at South by Southwest. And while some people (okay, a lot of people) like to be in the middle of it all, there's also much to be said for hanging back in Houston and taking advantage of being the big city next door, catching the buzziest acts minus the crowds when they stop here on their way to or from Austin.
Miansai Airstream Tour
5217 Kelvin St.
That's exactly what we're doing when the chic Miansai Airstream trailer stops in Houston this Tuesday and Wednesday, March 25 and 26. Miansai is a Miami-based accessories brand that features wrap bracelets, belts, watches, small leather good and understated jewelry for both men and women in designs inspired by fish hooks and industrial screws, earning praise from Elle magazine and Rachel Zoe for its unique look and made-in-America philosophy.
The Airstream tour started in San Francisco in February, and the Houston appearance this week is the brand's second and final stop in Texas after a week at SXSW. You can find the trailer parked in front of Saint Cloud boutique in Rice Village both days, capped off with a party on Wednesday from 6 to 9 that's open to the public and will include complimentary drinks and music in addition to some serious shopping.
