Not every designer can have a full-time retail presence in Houston, and even big-name brands that we love can't fit their whole collection in every store. The solution? A trunk show: half temporary shopping experience and half party. Here are the best of the collections coming to Houston stores in April.

April 1-5: Rachel Zoe Trunk Show at Tootsies. The only drawback is the stylist-turned-designer won't be there to tell you your outfit is bananas.
April 7-8: Monique Lhuillier Trunk Show at Neiman Marcus. Get first dibs on the famed red carpet designer's collection for fall, which is less structured and more moody than you'd expect from a designer best known for her bridal collections.
