Beyoncé can see your halo—and it's making you look gorgeous.
Just ask Ty Hunter. He's has been styling Beyoncé for 17 years, since he met Tina Knowles while working at Bui-Yah-Kah in the Houston Galleria, so he knows a thing or two about how to create glamour. The secret, he says, is lighting.
After an unflattering FaceTime session in bed, Hunter came up with the Ty-Lite, the first phone case designed to make you look flawless in selfies. With lights that create a glowing frame around your phone, the Ty-Lite is basically a portable version of Hollywood vanity lighting, the traditional lighting scheme for creating flattering looks.
"I'm such a selfie king and just wanted that extra light," Hunter told Glamour. "Light is so important to look your best."
The case offers three settings: warm for a dewy effect, cool for outdoor lighting and brilliant for "that little extra glam," according to Hunter. It has its own charge, so it won't drain your phone's batteries—that's what FaceTime is for. Versions for iPhone 5S, 6/6S, 6 Plus and Galaxy 6 are available now on Hunter's website for $79.99.
Hunter has been lending his case out to celebs like Trina and Karrueche, and says that the resulting shots don't even need filters. He's still saving one for Beyoncé though.
