Some of us remember the days when a round-trip ticket to Dallas on Southwest Airlines was $40. Some of us are also showing our age. Regardless, you can relive those halcyon days with the killer three-day sale the airline is hosting through October 6.
Although it's not quite the $40 round-trip fare of our youth, it's close: Southwest is offering one-way flights out of Hobby Airport starting at $49 to cities including New Orleans, Oklahoma City, Tulsa and, yes, Dallas. But the deals don't stop there.
Tickets to Chicago's Midway Airport, Denver, Washington D.C.'s Reagan National Airport, Memphis, several Florida coastal getaways and more are $79 one-way, while a flight to Mexico City will only cost you $88. Other international spots include Belize City at $107, Cancun at $118 and San Jose, Costa Rica at $124.
You can even get all the way out to L.A. and Seattle for $129 or Montego Bay, Jamaica for $159. One-way tickets to one of our favorite travel destinations, Liberia, Costa Rica, are $145 while flights to the built-in-fun-filled-easy-choice Las Vegas and Nashville are only $99.
