As anyone who's ever searched for the perfect apartment knows, the best spaces always pop up when you're in the middle of your lease. That's a little bit like what Rice Village boutique WildBloom is dealing with right now.
Co-owner sisters Thuy and Tuyet Pham launched the store in 2013, earning local fans with their on-trend clothing and delightful collections of gifts, accessories and other well-priced wares, but Thuy admits that "hidden gem" doesn't even begin to describe their current space.
So WildBloom is planning a move into a bigger space in Rice Village in the latter half of 2017. "The new space [will] be totally fresh, open with a lot of light, but still warm and cozy like our current location," says Thuy Pham.
But rather than than renewing their current lease or going month-to-month for an extended period of time, the sisters are temporarily closing their doors at the end of 2016. And that means great deals are in order. Currently all apparel is 40 percent off, and accessories and jewelry are 50 percent off. Other assorted home goods and gifts are buy-one, get-one-free. Even the furniture and fixtures are for sale.
"All of our customers have been so supportive—as soon as we sent the email they called and emailed and said 'We're going to miss you,'" said Pham. Luckily it's only for a few months.
WildBloom is located at 2513 Rice Blvd. and is open through Dec. 31.
