There is happy hour at your local neighborhood bar and then there is happy hour at one of the best oyster bars in town. The difference? Oysters, of course, but oh, so much more.
That's due to a brand-new happy hour menu at Holley's Seafood Restaurant & Oyster Bar in Midtown. It's filled with colorful libations and discounted beer and wine, but the main attraction is the menu of tasty Southern-inspired dishes.
Set in the spacious oyster bar apart from the main dining room, happy hour at Holley's is served every Monday through Friday from 4 until 7 p.m.
Savory small plates are priced at $8 and include fried oysters, spicy Thai curry mussels and Wagyu beef sliders. The trio of ceviches, as colorful to the eye as to the palate, is a shareable option, while the crispy pork belly and fried egg sandwich makes for a substantial meal on its own.
The happy hour menu spotlights "by the glass" wines for $7 including Waterbrook Winery rosé and Black Ridge Vineyards Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon or Chardonnay. Draft beers are $5 and change regularly, while specialty cocktails are $6. Opt to pair a plate of calamari with the Sir Lancelot, a drink made of cherry-infused Bourbon, Rittenhouse Rye Whiskey, mint and lime.
As a bonus, all those happy hour deals will leave room in your wallet for another item sure to have you feeling all kinds of happy: a giant slice of Chef Mark's famous coconut cake.
