It is with great pride that the Houstonia family welcomes a new baby into the world, Love Wins Texas Weddings, a publication aimed squarely at the state’s 500,000-plus LGBT residents. The magazine, which hits newsstands today, will be available at bookstores all over Texas, as well as at hundreds of businesses offering wedding-related goods and services.
In addition to being the first publication devoted solely to the Lone Star State’s thousands of married-minded LGBT couples, Love Wins Texas Weddings—the brainchild of SagaCity Media—is the first title of its kind in the nation.
Of the thousands of regional wedding publications in print around the country, none is dedicated to addressing the special challenges and considerations facing the LGBT community, not to mention its $2.5 billion marriage market.
Twice yearly, readers of Love Wins Texas Weddings and its companion website, lovewinstexas.com, will discover a wealth of useful tips and ideas on planning that special day, everything from picking the perfect His and His wedding gifts to the latest in Hers and Hers fashions, all of it captured on page after page of arresting, high-quality photo spreads. Even as it offers a wealth of ideas for cakes, flowers, venues and officiants, however, Love Wins Texas Weddings will also seek to answer the tough questions still faced by marriage-minded LGBT Texans.
And every issue of the magazine will lovingly celebrate real Texans, bringing their love stories to life with stirring words and stunning pictures. These are couples charting a new course—not just for marriage itself but how we celebrate it—and as they inspire other couples to follow their pioneering lead, Love Wins Texas Weddings will be there every step of the way, helping a new generation of brides and grooms make their matrimonial dreams come true.
We sincerely hope you enjoy our first issue, and that if so, you’ll spread the word far and wide about our magazine. We truly believe that Love Wins Texas Weddings is a special publication indeed, one committed to creating special days for many thousands of very special couples.
