Monday’s unexpected storm, which flooded many neighborhoods throughout the city and left six dead, led country singer Carrie Underwood to postpone her Tuesday, April 29 concert.
She took to Twitter to inform fans of the change on Monday night:
Due to the severe weather in Houston, tomorrow night’s show has been rescheduled for April 25th. Stay safe Houston! -TeamCU— Carrie Underwood (@carrieunderwood) April 18, 2016
The Storyteller Tour, originally scheduled for 7 p.m. tomorrow at the Toyota Center, has been moved to Monday, April 25. The arena stated the cancelation was to help “fans focus on taking care of their families and friends” in a statement on their website.
Concertgoers who cannot attend the new date can receive a refund from the Toyota Center, which can take up to five to seven business days. For those who want to attend, tickets are still currently on sale.
The Storyteller Tour, which kicked off in Jacksonville, Fla. this past January, will feature songs of her latest album, such as "Renegade Runaway,” “Dirty Laundry” and “Smoke Break,” as well as songs from her earlier days like “Before He Cheats” and “All-American Girl.”
