Kid- and style-friendly duds on display at Small Noise.

Once upon a time when we were growing up, pint-sized style only mattered once a year—on picture day at school—and everything else was basically a wash. Not anymore. Between Suri Cruise, North West, Prince George, Harper Beckham and all the fashionable kids taking over Instagram, miniature style these days is no joke, and every day is picture day.

Luckily for all the fashionable parents and cool aunts and uncles in Houston, there's Small Noise, a pop-up shop in Montrose featuring hip children's clothing and accessories.

The display window at Small Noise features a display by Houston artist Alex Arzu.

"After the birth of my son, I saw a need in Houston for hipper children’s clothing that break the cookie-cutter mold,” says co-owner Jessica Potts, who alongside her business partner Malcolm McDaniel has gathered an enviable collection of styles for newborns to 8-year-olds, including both American and international brands like Agatha Club, GOAT-MILK, Bink and Boo and Atelier Child. And as a bonus, although the merch might be made for kids, the store design is strictly grown-up, with a clean look, reclaimed wood tables and simple racks.

Honestly, we wish some of this stuff came in adult sizes, like the leopard-print horsehair kicks by Nimble, patterned button-up shirts and rompers from Agatha Club, striped booties made from South American aguayo fabrics by Bink & Boo and the world's tiniest acid-wash jeans from Sweden's I Dig Denim.

We probably couldn't pull off the panda onesies, but hey, you had kids for a reason, right?

Small Noise is located at 2608 Dunlavy St. (next to Brazil), instagram.com/smallnoise.
