Originally slated for Oct. 19, Bob Seger and his Silver Bullet band have postponed an appearance at the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion indefinitely.
"Hoping to be back out on the road very soon," Seger said in a statement, which attributed the postponement to "an urgent medical issue concerning his vertebrae."
Best known for hits such as "Night Moves" and "Old Time Rock and Roll," the legendary rocker, 72, kicked off his 2017 Runaway Train Tour earlier this summer, with more than a dozen shows still on the schedule. None of those dates have been canceled, and updated tickets will be issued once dates are set.
Seger has pumped out 18 studio albums across more than half a century, and his Greatest Hits album was recently certified diamond after surpassing 10 million copies sold. Only about 90 artists have cleared that bar—folks like Michael Jackson and The Beatles.
Fingers crossed for a speedy recovery. Until then, we'll be watching that iconic Risky Business scene over and over and over.
