As 2017 comes to a close, all we can think about is the delicious food we ate in the past year. While there are lots of New Year’s resolution lists floating around, we thought we would share some resolutions for the food lovers in your life.
Eat As Much Real Butter As Possible
Yeah, we know: butter is full of fat. Butter is also delicious, and chances are it’s being heavily used in almost every meal you have while dining out anyway. Go for broke and put butter on everything.
Rosé Really Does Go With Everything
Rosé was everywhere this year, even frozen. We think it goes perfectly with everything, even breakfast. Why not have it with every meal in 2018?
Don’t Instagram Every Single Thing You Eat
This is a hard one. The last time I was out to eat with one of my best friends, she noted “oh great, we have to wait to eat ‘til everyone is done with their Instagram and snaps.” While I imagine this trend—and it applies to foodies and non-foodies—is getting old to everyone who actually wants to eat what just got put in front of them, if it isn’t on social media, did it really happen? Maybe. Stop and find out yourself.
Don’t Check In at Every Single Place You Eat
So obviously this one ties into the resolution above. How will people know that you got to eat at the newest, must go now place in Houston if you don’t check in? Oh the horror! That said, there is something to be said for flying under the radar and just enjoying yourself.
Give Brussels Sprouts a Break
Who doesn’t like Brussels sprouts? Clearly no one, since it seems like every place in town has them on the menu, and people are writing articles about their rise in popularity. While they certainly are delicious, remember there are other vegetables and they need your love as well. We hear mushrooms are in.
Well, there you go. If you need us between now and the end of the year, we will be eating mushrooms slathered with butter, with a side of rosé. And you won’t even know about it.
