We're dreaming of fire and smoked meat.

The Houston Barbecue Festival dropped a whole bunch of information about the sixth annual edition of the meaty get-together taking place on April 15. The big news: the lineup is seriously stacked. The bigger news: the festival has a new home.

“We had a great run at NRG Park but felt it was time for a change,” says co-founder/director J.C. Reid. That change means this year the festival is taking place at the Humble Civic Center. Benefits of the new location, according to the press release, include free parking and real restrooms, not to mention less expensive drinks. The location also means that if the weather turns south—which is always a possibility—the entire event can be held indoors.

Houston’s Tejas Chocolate & Barbecue and CorkScrew BBQ, Louie Mueller Barbecue from Taylor and Truth BBQ from Brenham will be there. Other spots from the list include Gatlin’s BBQ, Killen’s Barbecue, Pinkerton’s Barbecue, The Pit Room, and Roegel’s Barbecue Co.

Add to that Ray’s BBQ Shack, Southern Q, Pizzitola’s Bar-B-Cue, Blake’s BBQ, Lenox Bar-B-Q, Gerardo’s, Blood Bros. BBQ, The Brisket House, El Burro & the Bull, Fainmous BBQ, Feges BBQ, Harlem Road Texas BBQ, Jackson Street BBQ, Spring Creek Barbeque and Tin Roof BBQ and you’ll need the most epic of naps once you’re done. You’ll also have a chance to taste some Texas history, as the oldest barbecue joint in the state, Southside Market & BBQ, will also be on hand.

Ticket sales will still be limited and there will be no tickets at the gate. You can get yours now during their presale and save a little bit of money.
