Get your wellness on at the Four Seasons from January 5-7.

If you’re among the 37 percent of Americans resolving to be healthier in 2018, this weekend brings a chance to put your money where your mouth is.

From Friday, January 5 to Sunday, January 7, Four Seasons Hotel Houston hosts its new Wellness Weekend, billed as an exclusive three-day event to kick-start “a journey of renewed mind, body, and spirit.”

The rejuvenation begins at 5 p.m. Friday when guests can forego the traditional weekend pre-game for a “poolside wellness mixer,” including a BMI analysis (we'd rather not know, thanks) and healthy refreshments and beverages. We’re guessing that doesn’t include tequila shots.

On Saturday, wellness begins bright and early with a one-hour, poolside sunrise salutation yoga session at 8 a.m. followed by a “tea talk” with Dr. Badrei of Houston’s MIZU Integrative Clinic and Float Center. Several hours of open “restorative time” flank a mid-day wellness cooking class to round out Saturday’s offerings.

Sunday begins anew with a high-intensity workout at 8:30 a.m.: POWA by Sphere, led by a former Major League Soccer player, uses a ball to tone every portion of the body in a 30-minute, soccer-inspired fitness class. If, like us, you haven’t seen a soccer field since your grade school days, don’t worry–Sphere says the workout is good for beginners and Olympians alike.

The rest of the day is for winding down, with a juice workshop and smoothie bar, more restorative time, and a meditation and wellness lunch to close out a weekend full of good vibes.

“The idea behind our Wellness Weekend is to enable guests to start the new year on a positive note, feeling refreshed and renewed for the year ahead,” Four Seasons spa director Tina Hay says. “We have partnered with some of the best wellness experts in town to help guests achieve their goals, celebrate new beginnings, and focus on their wellbeing as we head into 2018.”

The hotel offers package deals for Wellness Weekend guests who wish to stay overnight, but each day’s activities are offered a la carte for $95. Perhaps putting cash toward our annual resolution will actually help us stick to it this time.
