Good morning, Astros fans!
Heading to the Juice Box today for game 3 of the American League Championship Series? Maybe you're going tomorrow, or Thursday when the 'Stros get to celebrate a pennant on the home field?
Okay, maybe we're too ahead of ourselves.
Anyway, in honor of the ALCS, Aramark is unveiling two new menu items at Minute Maid Park. They are:
- Loaded Texas BBQ stack: A plate of cornbread stacked with brisket or pulled pork, plus four-cheese mac 'n' cheese, baked beans, pickled onions, jalapeño coleslaw, and scallions, then finished with a drizzle of hot barbecue sauce. It's, uh, definitely loaded. (Burp.)
- Texas Totchos: If you think the BBQ stack is a little much, dial it down from 11 to 10 with this: tater tots, chopped brisket, jalapeño bacon, gouda and fontina beer cheese, pickled onions, scallions, and raw jalapeños.
Minute Maid will also be serving fall seasonal beer (Saint Arnold Oktoberfest, Karbach Karbachtoberfest), which is important. Look, when your team is deep in the postseason, you need to find a good, sturdy, malty beer to get you through every pitch.
Or, you can just get a mixed drink from the Sip & Soar Airline Cocktail Cart, which will be moving about the concourse.
Cheer responsibly. Go 'Stros!
