How do you want to spend your Saturday? Sipping wine or gorging on wings?

On Saturday, we'll see two very different food events in Houston. And you have your choice: wine and bites from some of the top restaurants in Houston ... or chicken wings slathered in hot sauce, paired with cold beer.

You really can't go wrong either way.

The Houston Cellar Classic is set for noon to 4 p.m. Saturday at The Tasting Room. Under a 40,000-square-foot tent, find more than 100 wines from across the world (you can sample them, just ... you know ... not 100 of them) while eating items from some pretty good local restaurants. Highlighted eateries include Uchi, Poitín, Bosscat Kitchen & Libations, and the newly opened Sing, which will compete for the top plate. Tickets are $75, $200 for VIPs. For more info, visit houstoncellarclassic.com.

Meanwhile, more than 20 kitchens are ready to take the throne in Wing-A-Rama, set for 1 to 5 p.m. at POST Houston in Downtown. Some big names are preparing to throw down here, including Peli Peli, FM Kitchen and Bar, BuffBurger, the Houston Astros, and the Houston Dynamo. Pay $35 and get unlimited wings (you can get in at 11:30 a.m. and have access to a private bar for $80), and if you really feel emboldened, take part in a wing-eating contest. For more info, visit wingarama.com.

So, which will you choose?
