Starting tomorrow, Nordstrom at the Galleria will be one of just two locations nationwide to carry a new collection, Gibson x Living In Yellow, in-store. The line is a collaboration between women's apparel brand Gibson and Erin Schrader, the lifestyle blogger behind Living In Yellow.
Fans of Living In Yellow know Schrader for her take on fashion, travel, beauty, food, and more. Unlike other lifestyle blogs, she foregoes the glamour and extravagance sometimes associated with online personalities and influencers in favor of simplicity and finding "beauty in the normal, everyday ups/downs/average events of life."
That perspective carries through to Schrader's capsule collection at Nordstrom, which is full of fashionable basics like sweaters, dresses, and tees at affordable price points from $32 to $79 and in sizes XXS–3X. Inspired by vibrant springtime colors (including, yes, yellow), Schrader says, "Every style has been designed with details, fabrics, and hemlines that can take you from work to play—all made in feel-good fabrics that you'll never want to take off."
For that, Schrader found a fitting partner (pun intended) in Gibson, which has earned fans for its soft, cozy basics, like fleece pullovers and ribbed cardigans in solid colors. The new collaboration features striped tops, fleece joggers, drapey tanks, terry skirts, ruffled blouses, and faux wrap dresses, among others. It's available online and, starting March 22, in Houston's Galleria Nordstrom. To celebrate, Schrader will meet with customers there from 2–4 p.m. Thursday during a launch party in the Gibson Boutique, where shoppers can hear from Schrader about the new collection, take a selfie with her, and enjoy a DJ and mac 'n' cheese bites–Schrader's favorite food.
