Want to be in the room where it happens? The HHA want to help you get there.

Hamilton begins its run at the Hobby Center next Tuesday, and it’s kind of a big deal. If you haven’t gotten your tickets yet—good luck with the lotto!—there’s a chance on Monday that you could win a pair of tickets to the show while belting out the Hamilton songs you love, raising a glass to fun (and freedom), and helping out the Houston History Alliance in the process.

The HHA is hosting a Hamilton Sing-Along on Monday night over at Town in City Brewing Company. The fun starts at 6 p.m. and the event is free. Beer and wine will be available for those of you who need some encouragement before singing in front of strangers, and drinks from the Houston Cider Company will be available for those of you who don’t want to party hard on a school night.

But the main event here is the raffle, which will happen at 8:45 p.m. The winner will be chosen from tickets sold at the event and purchased online. Tickets are going for $10 for one or $40 for five. The winner does not need to be present to win.

The Houston History Alliance exists to help members of the community tell their stories of Houston’s past. If you’ve ever bemoaned how it feels like Houston doesn’t care about its history, this is an organization you should pay attention to.

If you’re worried that you might not be able to control yourself while watching the show—I’ve been a victim of spontaneous singing at least once in my life, so no shade from me—this might be a good way to get it out of your system before you take a seat over at the Hobby Center. Plus, you know you’ve always wanted to show off your ability to do the Lafayette rap from “Guns and Ships.” Here’s your chance. Don’t throw away your shot.
