The Woodlands's premier shopping destination and 560,000-square-foot mixed-use entertainment hub with Stepfordian vibes, Market Street, is going under the knife this summer, just for some minor work. A property-wide makeover will include several cosmetic changes to its green space and additional outdoor features.
Here's what's in store:
- Central Park will get new weather-resistant synthetic turf, because honestly, why pretend anything out here is actually real? Right down to the grass. Updated gathering places will include additional seating, fancy pergolas to ward off the sun, and new outdoor sculptures.
- Pedestrian pathways will be updated with new, contemporary lighting, landscaping, and paving. And new signage and graphics throughout the shopping center will be inspired by fashion, art, and nature.
Market Street opened in 2004, and is now home to more than 80 fashion boutiques, 21 restaurants including a new True Food Kitchen, a five-screen movie theater, the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion, office space, and a Hyatt Centric hotel.
