The Morning Wood at Weights & Measures

The Vampiro at Night Heron

This punchy 1970s creation—tequila kissed with beet, carrot, grapefruit, and lime juice, served over crushed ice—resembles a fiery sunset. During weekend brunch, it makes for an especially swell companion to the roasted-red-pepper “taquitos rancheros” and the pink-peppercorn honey-chicken biscuit. Dining with a crew? Try a pitcher of the refreshing sangria.

The Morning Wood at Weights & Measures

This cheekily named beverage is sure to wake you up thanks to healthy doses of rum and Pimms No. 1, along with splashes of pineapple, lemon, and orgeat—a.k.a., liquid marzipan. Pair it with citrus-grilled skirt steak ‘n’ eggs, or peanut-butter-banana-bacon brioche toast.

The Snooze Fashioned at Snooze, an A.M. Eatery

Whiskey and coffee—9 Banded Whiskey and house-cold-brewed coffee, to be exact—unite for this morning pick-me-up-in-a-glass. A dribble of zippy orange simple syrup and a hint of Angostura bitters give the drink a classic old-fashioned feel. Enjoy it alongside a pancake flight.
