THE TO-DOUX LIST is lifestyle editor Abby Ledoux’s weekly roundup of pop-ups, markets, and whatever else she feels like doing around Houston each Friday–Sunday (generally). To submit an event for consideration, email details to firstname.lastname@example.org.
When: Now thru Sunday, Nov. 24
Where: Kingwood Country Club and Downtown Club at the Met
What: After suffering extensive damage at the hands of Harvey, the Kingwood Country Club has risen like a phoenix from the ashes and is showing off its massive renovation all week (and weekend) long with a grand re-0pening celebration. Both Kingwood and the Downtown Club at the Met have free events every day, from tennis lessons to yoga to a Friday night beer pong tournament, all open to non-members—proving the country clubs of 2019 have come a long way from their notoriously stuffy ancestors. View the full schedule and RSVP here.
When: Friday, Nov. 22–Sunday, Nov. 24; 10 a.m.–6 p.m. Friday & Saturday, noon–6 p.m. Sunday
Where: George R. Brown Convention Center
What: For 67 years, the Houston Alumnae Chapter of Kappa Alpha Theta has brought together exhibitors, designers, collectors, and admirers of fine arts and decor for one-stop-shopping with proceeds benefiting local charities—the show has donated nearly $8 million to date. This year's Grand Finale Show is a three-day affair at GRB featuring antique period furniture, estate jewelry, and more one-of-a-kind treasures; one general admission ticket ($25) includes access to all weekend events, with options to add on catered lunches by Grotto each day.
Hard Night Good Morning Skincare Pop-Up
When: Saturday, Nov. 23; noon–4 p.m.
Where: Kuhl-Linscomb, 2418 W. Alabama
What: If you're a Bravoholic, you'll likely recognize D'Andra Simmons' name—the Real Housewife of Dallas is also the CEO and founder of a skincare line with a particularly excellent name, Hard Night Good Morning. This weekend, the Dallasite is bringing her cruelty-free, botanically based products (think cleansers, toners, serums, and moisturizers loaded with natural and active ingredients) down to Houston. Simmons invites fans to come take a pic with her and pamper themselves before holiday season chaos descends.

When: Saturday, Nov. 23; noon–6 p.m.
Where: Social Beer Garden, 3101 San Jacinto St.
What: If you want to shop local, support women, and knock a bunch of people off your holiday gift list, look no further than this annual gathering (and celebration) of boss babes. Female makers of everything from jewelry to cakes to sarcastic embroidery hoops will sell their wares at this free-to-attend market with music, drinks, and plenty of Instagram moments.
When: Sunday, Nov. 24; 7–8 p.m.
Where: Galleria Level I between Nordstrom and Macy's
What: Bring the whole family to meet the man of the season himself, Santa Claus, this year—those with fur included. Kris Kringle has been posted up at the Galleria since November 8 and will be there through Christmas Eve, but only two nights (this Sunday and December 1) are specifically open for four-legged friends to get their face-time with the big guy—pet photo sessions occur after regular mall hours and are followed by an extensive cleaning for shoppers with allergies.
