The united colors of Satisfy.

Clark Cooper Concepts, the hospitality group behind Rice Village stalwarts Coppa Osteria and Punk's Simple Southern Food, the soon-to-close Ibiza, the soon-to-expand-to-dinner Dunlavy, and Brasserie 19, announced Thursday a new health-forward, all-day concept called Satisfy.

Scheduled to open in spring 2020 on the first floor of San Felipe Place at 2229 San Felipe in River Oaks, Satisfy seeks to offer a menu of items without refined sugars and flours; artificial preservatives, colors, or flavors; or GMOs. In that sense, Satisfy's approach sounds a little bit like that of Vibrant in Montrose.

“It is not only about eating healthy. It is about moderation and education," said Grant Cooper, partner in the group with Charles Clark. "We wanted to create a place where you could eat every day and feel good about yourself. We know some days you want to cheat a little bit, but at Satisfy it doesn’t matter because it’s a good cheat."

Samuel Walter, previously the chef de cuisine of Uchiko in Austin, will head up the kitchen at Satisfy. (Tangentially, Uchiko is coming to Houston, but in 2021.) Look for a menu that may include items like turmeric bone broth, a jackfruit "pulled pork" sandwich, beet gnocchi, and salmon toast.

Walter will be doing some pop-ups at the Dunlavy in advance of Satisfy's opening. Dates for those dinners have yet to be announced.

In-N-Out is here. The first two Houston-area locations of the famed California-based burger chain have finally opened, per the Chronicle. Look for double-doubles, fries (animal style, please), and much more (on the secret menu) at 12611 S. Kirkwood Rd. at The Grid, and at 1010 Katy-Ford Bend Rd. in Katy.

Late last week, Ryan Hildebrand announced via a Facebook post that he had resigned as executive chef at FM Kitchen and Bar. Hildebrand was co-owner and executive chef of the more chef-driven ice house concept, starting it after leaving Triniti, before that closed. FM, meanwhile, will open a second location in Montrose in 2020.
