Gloria Steinem in her Michael Stars shirt—proceeds support the ERA Coalition's efforts to pass the Equal Rights Amendment.

Nearly 42 years to the day that Gloria Steinem helped make hisher-story at the first-ever National Women's Conference in Houston, the legendary activist is back in the Bayou City once more. In partnership with Congregation Emanu El and Evelyn Rubenstein Jewish Community Center, Brazos Bookstore hosts Steinem, whose The Truth Will Set You Free, But First It Will Piss You Off! was released late last month.

Tickets to An Evening with Gloria Steinem swiftly sold out, but if you were lucky enough to nab one—or even if you weren't and still want to support the cause—we know what you should wear. Local boutique Dimensions in Fashion is marking the occasion with sales of limited-edition "FEMINISM IS FOR EVERYBODY" shirts by Michael Stars, the L.A. label known for its luxury tees.

One hundred percent of proceeds from the shirts will benefit the ERA Coalition and its work to (finally) advance an Equal Rights Amendment. The short-sleeved, 100 percent cotton tees are emblazoned with the quote, which comes from author and activist bell hooks. They're $38 each and limited to one per customer on a first-come, first-served basis—so when they're gone, they're gone. Dimensions in Fashion hopes customers will wear their tees to Steinem's sold-out talk tonight. And yes, Steinem has one of her own.

"As a businesswoman who has witnessed the positive impact that activists like Gloria Steinem have made in our society over the decades, I'm thrilled to support the ERA Coalition to promote women's equality under law," Dimensions in Fashion co-owner Sherry Levy said. "We have a 30-year history working with Michael Stars' owners, Michael Cohen and Suzanne Lerner, a longtime advocate for women's causes. We'd like to do our part to support the ERA Coalition's work to help pass the Equal Rights Amendment, making equality a constitutional right for all."
