An 18-acre mixed-use development is coming to the corner of Gessner and I-10 in Memorial City, and plans for a few dining options are already underway.
Those food and drink spots include Kirby Ice House, which will build its second location, a 7,000-square-foot patio bar, and aims for a fall 2020 opening; Mia's Table, a Southern-style family restaurant that will open a 5,830-square-foot restaurant set for spring 2020; and Torchy's Tacos, which will unveil a 4,550-square-foot location around spring 2020.
The development will also include office buildings and, possibly down the line, a hotel. But the announcement Thursday means folks living near Memorial City can expect some big changes down the line.
“This master plan exemplifies the health of the West Houston corridor,” said Jason Johnson, president of MetroNational. “Our company began assembling this 18-acre tract in 2005 as part of our strategic master plan. This major expansion illustrates our continued commitment to developing and redeveloping the 265 acres that comprises Memorial City.”
