Oh, hello, you beautiful Nutella monster.

Known for its crêpes, waffles, milkshakes, and modern-industrial French bistro design, Sweet Paris has opened its newest location at 9595 Six Pines Drive, Suite 450, in The Woodlands. At 2,285 square-feet, it seats 82 with an outdoor patio and is open 8 a.m.–9 p.m. Sunday-Thursday and 8 a.m.–11 p.m. Friday-Saturday.

Mardi Gras has Jax Grill feeling festive. It'll throw a party from 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at its Shepherd location with a performance by Ruben Moreno & Zydeco Re-Evolution. Food on offer includes seafood gumbo, boiled crawfish, red beans and rice, fried crawfish po'boys, and crawfish étoufée. Happy hour starts at 4 p.m. and lasts through the night.

Fat Tuesday also happens to be National Pancake Day, and Snooze, an A.M. Eatery is celebrating by bringing back a bunch of old favorites. May we suggest King Cake? Fusion!

Speaking of Snooze, the breakfast chain is opening its next location, and it's also in The Woodlands. Pinned at 2415 Research Forest Drive, the new Snooze opens its doors March 20.

Goode Company Armadillo Palace is now doing crawfish boils. Get there between noon and 3 p.m. on Saturdays through the end of the season. Price: $20 for 2.5 pounds of crawfish, plus corn and potatoes.

Speaking of crawfish, Cottonwood is hosting its second annual Crawfish Cook-Off from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday. For $30, get unlimited crawfish tastings from vendors duking it out for the title of best mudbug.

Eleven Houston chefs (including Jonathan Levine of Jonathan's The Rub, Ben McPherson of BoH Pasta at Bravery Chef Hall, and Sharon Leonard of Sweet Bribery) are collaborating on Chefs For Paws, a March 24 feast to raise money for Rescued Pets Movement, which gives homeless dogs and cats the opportunity to find their forever homes. A seat for the dinner, which starts at 5 p.m. at Jonathan's The Rub Memorial Green, is $150. Get your ticket here.

On April 25, Houston-area restaurants will take part in Dining Out for Life, a fundraiser that benefits AIDS Foundation Houston. Dine out at one of participating restaurants (including B&B Butchers, Barnaby's Cafe locations, El Tiempo 1308 Annex, Harold's and more), and a percentage of your bill that day will go toward the foundation, which helps Houstonians living with HIV/AIDS.
