DASH co-founders Michelle Maresh, Lisa Erwin, Vanessa Sendukas, and Angela Poujol

DASH, our favorite biannual home decor and gift market, is back this weekend to once again stuff the 20,000-square-foot Silver Street Studios to the gills with sensational shopping opportunities. Founders and friends Michelle Maresh, Angela Poujol, Lisa Erwin, and Vanessa Sendukas scour the country for unique vendors selling everything from funky jewelry to antique furniture in hopes of offering something for everyone—and every taste—with the 80-plus dealers assembled at this year's market. With Mother's Day, Father's Day, graduation and wedding season approaching, there's also a natural focus on gifts.

Some proceeds from this year's market will benefit Dwell with Dignity, a nonprofit that creates soothing interiors for families struggling with homelessness and poverty, in hopes of helping Houston designers Julie Dodson, Sharon Staley, and Suzanne Coppola of Laurier Blanc (also a DASH vendor and partner) fulfill their mission to bring a chapter of the organization here to the Bayou City.

Following tonight's preview party, DASH runs all weekend from 10 a.m.–5 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 11 a.m.–5 p.m. Sunday. Tickets are $10, and shoppers can expect food, activities, and entertainment throughout.

And if you think the ladies of DASH forgot that the last day of the market just happens to fall on Cinco de Mayo, think again. "We're gonna make it more of a party," they tell Houstonia. That means a roving bar cart and a colorful, upbeat decor theme.

You can peruse the entire 2019 vendor list here, and find a handful of the DASH founders' favorite new additions to the ever-growing line-up below.

Blissful Living Co.

  • What is it? "Lifestyle goods for the spiritual glamourist," the founders say—though we're dubious that "glamourist" is a word, we can get behind the concept that surrounding yourself with beautiful things can only improve your life. This is about achieving good vibes through pretty bracelets, bubble bath, and cleansing crystals—all very 2019.
  • DASH says: "They're bringing pillows and candles and home decor that we're excited about."

Soap from Provence = instant bathroom upgrade.

Cadeaux de France

  • What is it? Home goods and bath products straight from the south of France, imported to bring "the natural beauty, light, and ambience" of the Provence region into your abode. C'est bonne.
  • DASH says: "They're bringing linens over from France, and they are stunning."

My Drink Bomb

  • What is it? Artisan, hand-crafted cocktail mixers from a trendy Houston startup you may have seen around town. They're just as pretty as LUSH bath bombs, but in flavors like Bellini Blush, Coconut Mojito, and Peacharita, it would be a crying shame to waste them in a tub.
  • DASH says: "Drop them into your champagne or vodka for an instant cocktail."

Heritage Game Mounts

  • What is it? A family-owned, San Antonio-based outfit that turns spoils into works of art with custom mounting and framing—think elegant black velvet or family tartan bases that can be monogrammed, too.
  • DASH says: "Men who hunt like their horns mounted, so it's a really nice Father's Day gift."

Leather Link Studio

  • What is it? One-of-a-kind goods made with all types of upcycled leather from the furniture industry—the family business for owner Randall Kent Davis.
  • DASH says: "They do gun cases, wine bags, wooden bowls ... they're very popular with men, and with women buying gifts for men."

Knotty Woodworx

  • What is it? Hand-crafted, Houston-made wood products by Troy Harrison. A must-see for anyone in the market for a new charcuterie board or succulent-stuffed hardwood planter from a local operation with an acceptably punny name.
  • DASH says: "They do custom cutting boards, bowls, all that kind of stuff." (Hint, hint: It's wedding—and wedding gift—season.)
