Moody Ice, a popular spot for Hawaiian shaved ice and its fluffy, icy treats sharing the same name as the shop, will be closing its location on Shepherd Drive in The Heights after serving up the final rounds of snow cones on Memorial Day.

The business announced the news in a message to its email subscribers and Facebook friends on Friday morning. The message also informed fans that if they wanted to "stock up for summer," they could email an order to eat@moodyice.com.

Moody Ice was one of our top-three ways to enjoy shaved ice last summer, and we've been on record in loving its unique interpretation of Italian ice, with flavors like strawberry-and-habanero and lemon-and-lavender.

We've reached out to Moody Ice for comment about the closing, and about its future; we'll update this when and if we hear back.
