Another day, another gym: It seems cycling, yoga, and cardio concepts are popping up left and right around town, and that's welcome news when the temperature outside hovers around approximately 180 degrees Fahrenheit with 450 percent humidity. If we're going to work out, we're going to at least need air conditioning. Pretty surroundings, cute clothes, and luxurious locker rooms won't hurt, either.

Today, we're introducing three new—or soon-to-be—players to the game.

Coming Winter 2019: TruFusion

We can't promise you'll age like Jennifer Lopez, but you can at least try when TruFusion opens its first Houston (though third Texas) location this winter at a 12,000-square-foot studio at 1990 Post Oak Blvd. in Post Oak Central. The Vegas-based boutique fitness concept offers more than 200 classes per week including yoga, barre, cycling, Pilates, cardio, boxing, kettleball, and various boot camps thanks to multiple "studios" under one roof.

J-Lo and Russell Wilson are both TruFusion converts—the concept has amassed a devoted fan following since it first opened in 2013. Lopez's fiancé, MLB star Alex Rodriguez, is a board member and major investor.

"We are community driven and are excited to immerse ourselves in the Houston lifestyle and introduce everyone to the TruFusion brand," says Natalie Buckel, Nevada-based entrepreneur and TruFusion franchisee.

Coming Saturday, August 10: Revolution Studio Uptown Park

A local favorite expands its hometown offerings with a fourth studio in Uptown Park opening next weekend at 1129 Uptown Park Blvd. Revolution Studio's latest 3,400-square-foot space joins existing sister locations in River Oaks, Memorial City, and Sugar Land—the latter its flagship studio, launched in 2012.

Revolution fans can expect the same three class formats here: cycling, yoga, and "RIPPED" high-intensity interval training classes for a full-body workout. The new studio, open seven days a week, includes a Lotus Studio—dedicated space for Vinyasa flow and RIPPED classes—with a state-of-the-art sound system and room for up to 28 yogis. The Cycle Studio features 56 new Stages bikes in a stadium arrangement for 45- and 60-minute spin classes.

To celebrate the launch, Revolution is hosting a community RIPPED class outside in Uptown Park tomorrow—Saturday, August 3—from 9–9:45 a.m. with a DJ, bites and sips, and raffle items. Just bring your own mat.

Now Open: REV365 Fitness

Earlier this summer, co-owners Lorie Fowler and Blake Popst debuted their 3,000-square-foot REV365 Fitness at 16322-A Southwest Freeway. The Sugar Land boutique fitness concept touts "real results backed by science" through its heart rate-monitored group classes led by certified personal trainers.

Routines alternate daily to avoid burnout—both psychological and physical—and range from cardio to strength and circuit-training. The studio is equipped with cutting-edge technology, including state-of-the-art treadmills, rowers, assault bikes, and weights.

REV365 is also one of only two fitness studios in the country to have an InBody 770 scale permanently on-site. The medical-grade body composition and water analyzer offers in-depth body analysis and helps users track and monitor physical changes far beyond the capabilities of a traditional scale. It measures everything from base metabolic rate to muscle-to-fat ratio and can also offer data on internal health, including measuring one's risk for heart disease and diabetes.

The studio is also home to VersaClimbers, a cult-favorite cardio machine favored by celebs like Lebron James and Lady Gaga. Okay, we're sold.
