Flight Club Darts is a new fun spot set to open next year.

Looking for a unique experience for your next celebration or just looking for something new to do in the city? Flight Club Darts– an elevated “social darts” eater-tainment experience has you covered and will have the grand opening of its Houston location on Friday, Jan. 14, in Regent Square.

Currently there are two U.S. locations, Chicago and Boston, and the concept is focused on high-tech dart boards with a social food and drink menu that’s largely based on small-group reservations for semi private dart-throwing areas.

The Victorian Fairgrounds and classy British Pub inspired décor will have a lot of local flair and will feature Flight Club fan favorites from other cities while also carrying items unique to Houston both for food and beverage.

“We experienced Flight Darts in Chicago and it was an awesome experience,” Julia Wang, Houston influencer and real estate agent for NextGen said. “I actually enjoyed it more than I thought I would, and it got pretty competitive. It's a great team building activity and I can't wait for them to open in Houston, so I can go with all of my agents.”

Flight Club began in the U.K. in 2015 and is how coming to Houston.

The food menu will include a variety of shareable bites, such as mini poke tacos, steak frites skewers, flatbreads, and truffle fries. The drinks menu centers on crafted cocktails with a large selection of beers, wine and spirits. If you’re not looking to play a game of social darts, Flight Club also offers dine-in options with a mouth watering selection of starters, entrees, and desserts.

“The cocktails were unique and the food was delicious, not your average cookie cutter food that you normally see in places like this,” Wang said.

According to their website, Flight Club began in the U.K. in 2015 after the founders, Steve Moore and Paul Barham, were watching people play darts in a pub. They saw an opportunity to simplify the social game by taking out the math, and creating a seamless, high-energy experience for all players, no matter the skill level or familiarity with darts.

Not wanting to compromise on having a real, professional quality dartboard and steel-tipped darts, they enlisted the help of Dr. Jason Dale to create a vision tracking system to keep track of the game play and scoring. They’ve since opened several locations around the U.K. and their first U.S. location opened in 2018.

Cichon says the difference between Flight Club Darts and other eater-tainment’s with darts is the high-tech technology.

“The technology that leads you through the gameplay is far and away the most innovative technology in the space currently. It’s so seamless and easy to use that guests are shocked when they understand how complex and advanced it is. We are also offering premium food and beverage programs, so that the holistic experience is always excellent for the guest,” Cichon said.

Flight Club’s primary target audience is the millennial demographic, ages 25 to 36, which are more inclined to looking for an entirely new and curated experience when choosing to dine out.

Flight Club takes reservations for groups of six or more. For smaller groups they encourage walk-ins, and if you’re a small group of two or three people they offer “Social Roll-Up,” which allows you to play with other small groups and make new friends.

While many eatertainment concepts try to create a family-friendly environment, Flight Club takes a different approach. Cichon says that one of the things people respect is the fact there’s not a bunch of children running around that impede the experience.

Children over the age of 12 can play, accompanied by an adult, before 4 p.m. and anyone over 18 can play after 4 p.m. But guests must be at least 21 after 6 p.m.
