A good vegan dessert used to be hard to come by, but with veganism on the rise, Houston bakers have stepped up their game. Bakeries like Awesome Bites Bake Co. and Pondicheri Bake lab are replacing dairy and eggs with vegan and gluten-friendly options. The growing trend of  “cleaner” and animal-free food, means a batch of new bakeries for vegans, too.

Here’s a list of vegan and gluten-free bakeries in and around Houston you’ll love.
