A scene from the Health Museum's blood drive on March 31.

With our city’s COVID-19 numbers rising and local hospitals nearing capacity, it’s more important than ever that we replenish our area’s blood banks.

Aiming to do just that, The Health Museum is hosting a community blood drive at the museum this this week, Tuesday through Thursday, to support the Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center, which supplies blood to 170 area hospitals and health care institutions.

The drive will be taking place each day from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., however it is by appointment only. You can sign up here.

The Health Museum has held previous iterations of this drive in both late March and in May.

This drive is also offering free antibody testing, and all donors will receive a T-shirt and a guest pass for two to the museum. However, the Health Museum is still temporarily closed because of the current pandemic.

10:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., June 23–25. The Health Museum, 1515 Hermann Dr. For more information, click here
