Temporary COVID-19 Restaurant and Bar Closures
A running list of establishments that may be closed now or may have previously suspended service.
The spread of COVID-19 has had a major impact on restaurants and bars across Houston. To our knowledge, the following restaurants either previously temporarily closed or are currently closed—at least for dine-in service—as a response to the pandemic.
Not every restaurant has closed because of a positive COVID-19 test; some establishments paused service temporarily either to test all employees and ensure safety or to wait out the pandemic further. The reason an establishment stopped service is listed and, whenever possible, the amount of time a restaurant or bar was closed is also noted.
This is a progressive list that we'll be updating frequently.

Better Luck Tomorrow: Closed as of June 25 because of a positive COVID-19 test on staff.
The Dunlavy: Closed as of Aug 10 because of "current economic environment."
Dine-in currently suspended; takeout available
Bravery Chef Hall: Suspended dine-in service June 29 out of caution until further notice. Takeout available.
Eight Row Flint: Was closed for 7 days because of two positive COVID-19 tests on staff. Now open for takeout.
Eunice: Closed dining room as of June 27 because of a positive COVID-19 test on staff. Patio open for dining. Takeout available.
FM Kitchen & Bar: Suspended dine-in service June 25 out of caution until further notice. Takeout available. Was previously closed because of a positive COVID-19 test on staff.
Nobie's: Was closed for eight days because of a positive COVID-19 test on staff. All staff members tested and couldn't return until shown negative for COVID-19. Now open for takeout only.
Red Dessert Dive: Closed for five days because of a positive COVID-19 test on staff.
Sticky's Chicken: Was closed for eight days because of a positive COVID-19 test on staff. All staff members tested and couldn't return until showing negative for COVID-19. Now open for takeout and delivery only.
The Toasted Coconut: Suspended dine-in service June 22 out of caution until further notice. Open for takeout only.
Vibrant: Closed for 10 days because of a positive COVID-19 test on staff. Now open for takeout and delivery.

a'Bouzy: Was closed for one week because of a positive COVID-19 test on staff.
BOH Pasta & Pizza: Was closed for two days to ensure all team members had been tested for COVID-19. No positive tests on staff.
Bosscat Kitchen & Libations: Was closed for one month out of caution.
Brennan's of Houston: Was closed for one week because of a positive COVID-19 test on staff. All staff members tested and couldn't return until shown negative for COVID-19.
Coltivare: Was closed for four days because of two positive COVID-19 tests on staff. All staff members tested and couldn't return until shown negative for COVID-19.
Daddy's Burgers at The Dunlavy: Was closed for two weeks because of a positive COVID-19 test on staff. Now open at Punk's Simple Southern Food.
Dish Society, Memorial: Closed for one day because of three positive COVID-19 tests on staff. All staff members tested and couldn't return until shown negative for COVID-19. Restaurant filled staff gaps by bringing in members from other locations.
Hando: Was closed for 15 days because of a positive COVID-19 test on staff. First open for takeout only, but now open fully.
Kata Robata: Suspended dine-in service for one week out of caution.
La Lucha: Was closed for nine days because of a positive COVID-19 test on staff. All staff members tested and couldn't return until shown negative for COVID-19.
Millie's Kitchen & Cocktails: Was closed for 30 days because of a positive COVID-19 test on staff. All staff members tested and couldn't return until shown negative for COVID-19. Patio open for dining; otherwise, takeout and delivery.
Monkey's Tail: Was closed temporarily because of a positive COVID-19 test on staff. All staff members tested and couldn't return until shown negative for COVID-19.
Musaafer: Was closed for two weeks because of a positive COVID-19 test on staff. All staff members tested and couldn't return until shown negative for COVID-19.
The Pit Room: Was closed on June 30, then again from July 5-8, because of a positive COVID-19 test on staff. All staff members tested and couldn't return until shown negative for COVID-19.
Relish Restaurant & Bar: Was closed for 11 days because of a positive COVID-19 test on staff. All staff members tested and couldn't return until shown negative for COVID-19. First open for takeout only, but now open fully.
Revival Market: Was closed for 14 days out of caution. Dine-in and patio seating, the latter of which is most encouraged. More grocery items than previously.
Riel: Closed dining room for 17 days to ensure all team members had been tested for COVID-19. No positive tests on staff.
Rosie Cannonball: Was closed for nine days because of two positive COVID-19 tests on staff. All staff members were tested and couldn't return until shown negative twice consecutively for COVID-19. First open for takeout only, but now open fully. Also, Rosie has launched the Spritz Patio adjacent to Goodnight Charlie's with a separate Mediterranean-inspired menu, cocktails, and more. Open 3 p.m.-10 p.m. Weds.-Fri. and 1 p.m.-10 p.m. Sat.-Sun.
Savoir: Was closed for three days because of a positive COVID-19 test on staff. All staff members tested and couldn't return until shown negative for COVID-19.
Shun Japanese Kitchen: Was closed for one week to ensure all team members had been tested for COVID-19. No positive tests on staff.
Superica: Was closed for nine days because of a positive COVID-19 test on staff. All staff members tested and couldn't return until shown negative for COVID-19.
Taste Bar & Kitchen: Was closed for 10 days because of a positive COVID-19 test on staff. All staff members tested and couldn't return until shown negative for COVID-19.
Taste of Texas: Was closed for six days because of a positive COVID-19 test on staff. All staff members tested and couldn't return until shown negative for COVID-19.
