Marco Wiles (of Da Marco and Poscol fame) modeled crowd-pleasing pizzeria and wine bar Dolce Vita after Mario Batali’s Otto Enoteca Pizzeria in Greenwich Village. It stars excellent Italian-style thin-crust pizzas baked in a superhot wood-fired oven with interesting topping combinations such as taleggio cheese, arugula, pears, and truffle oil. Small plates feature vegetables, cheeses, fish, cured meats, salads, and pastas, with authentic Italian sensibilities and the very best ingredients, making for brightly flavored and satisfying, but simple, preparations. The wine list is chauvinistically Italian; unique varietals such as Ribolla Gialla, Sauvignon vert, and Corvina can be found among the 30 offerings by the glass, plus many more by the bottle.
