No matter how hot it gets, there are always people eating on the patio at the popular Istanbul Grill, next to a cozy arbor overgrown with greenery. Inside, simple furnishings and Turkish knick-knacks give the grill a homey feel. (While it sits right next door to rowdy Little Woodrow’s, this place is a continent away in attitude.) The menu includes kebabs, salads, meze, and hummus, as well as flatbreads like lahmacun and pide, pizza-like creations topped with cheese and various meats and vegetables. There’s also a nice selection of Turkish beer and wine.
