Picasso had a Blue Period. Derek Zoolander had Blue Steel. Walter White had Blue Sky. And when it comes to power pigments, the rest of us now have Dazzling Blue, which the color despots over at Pantone have decreed an official color of Spring 2014. Less safe than navy, less soporific than sky, we find that even a dash of it—on the rims of a bold pair of sunglasses or splashed across a flat clutch—takes us from “Hello, there!” to, “Who does she think she is?”
