WHY: Every year more than one million Americans are diagnosed with heart disease. While advances in care over the past decade continue to dramatically improve outcomes, the reality remains that a diagnosis of heart disease can be devastating to a patient and family. The Heart Golf Classic was created to spread awareness about the demand for life-saving organ donations and to provide hope and assistance to patients in need and the organizations involved in these heroic efforts. Proceeds from the tournament go to the Heart Exchange Support Group at Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Center.
