The fashion gods have a way of making us eat our words. Fringe has been relegated to, well, the outskirts of contemporary style for decades, mostly seen on flapper costumes and Dallas Cowboy cheerleader uniforms.

Until now. This spring the laid-back, bohemian aesthetic of the 1970s is back in a big way, and fringe is a major part of the revival, showing up on everything from cropped tees to suede heels. A little bit country and a little bit rock and roll, it's perfect for rodeo season.
