Wifeys, we're firmly in the late 1960s now, and that means turmoil out in the world and flipped hair at home. Having asked NASA to be more informed about their husbands' missions and their attendant risks, now the wives (mostly new ones whose names I haven't quite learned) have to deal with that knowledge. As Alan contemplates surgery, Jo's son plans to join the army and fight in Vietnam and one wife has to decide if she's willing to stay in a sham marriage for the sake of NASA, the question for each is how far is too far to go to serve your country? What risks are too big? Luckily the fashion risks are equally thrilling.
