A line of fashionable partiers snaked all the way around the block on Thursday night outside Midtown's glitzy hot spot VrSI — pronounced, Lord help us — like Versailles. The draw? The launch party of Bravo's Married to Medicine: Houston, the highest-profile society reality show the city has seen to date.
Attorney Pegah Pougasef—the sister of castmember Elly Pourasef who appears in several episodes—described the vibe inside the party as "an explosion of energy," as the standing-room-only crowd mixed and mingled with the show's stars before screening the premiere episode of the series, which debuts tonight at 8 p.m.
"This is so different from other reality shows in that there is a very diverse case of women that are highly educated, successful, and beautiful," said castmember Dr. Monica Patel.
In addition to castmembers Patel, Rachel Suliburk, Dr. Ashandra Batiste, Cindi Rose, Dr. Erika Sato and Dr. Elly Pourasef, also on hand were reality television veteran Erica Rose, Married to Medicine: Atlanta's newest castmember Genise Shelton, Tilman Fertitta and famous closet-haver Teresa Roemer, who, according to an insider source, appears in several episodes this season. For those counting, that's two of the nine women who made up our fantasy Houston Housewives line-up that have been cast on the show. You're welcome, Bravo.
