Chopard hosted the kick off party for The Children's Assessment Center's 17th Annual Spirit of Spring Luncheon and Fashion Show at their River Oaks District store this past Thursday, March 3. Event Chairs Kelley Lubanko and Kelli Weinzierl were thrilled to share with guests the gorgeous live auction piece that Chopard will be donating this year: a breathtaking Revoloving Signature Chopardissimo 18K Gold ring, encrusted with 76 Diamonds.

Chopard's support didn't stop there. The boutique's employees demonstrated their commitment by taking a tour of the CAC to learn more about the organization. One employee actually returned to take the Darkness to Light training course.

Aside from gazing at fabulous jewels and enjoying cocktails and hors d'oeuvres, guests also learned more about the lineup for the legendary luncheon. Neiman Marcus announced their return as the signature underwriter with fashions from MILLY by Michelle Smith.

This year's program will also include former Miss America Marilyn Van Derbur, a survivor of child sexual abuse who has devoted much of her adult life to raising national awareness and understanding of sexual abuse and its long-term effects. She has received numerous awards and acknowledgments for her work, including being the first woman to be given the highest speaking award possible by the National Speakers Association.

In addition, Mark Wallace, President and CEO of Texas Children's Hospital, will be honored for his outstanding work in making a difference in the lives of children.

The Spirit of Spring Luncheon and Fashion Show will be April 20 beginning with a reception at 11:00 a.m. followed by the luncheon and fashion show at noon. For sponsorship information or to purchase tickets, contact development coordinator Madelyn Perry at 713-986-3370 or
