Over 350 guests gathered at Hotel Zaza for this year's Be An Angel Awards. Chaired by Carmina Zamorano and Dinner Chairs Lt. Governor Dan & Jan Patrick, the event turned out to be a huge success raising a record of $350,000 for the charity dedicated to improving the quality of life for children with multiple disabilities or profound deafness. The Angel Award Honorees were Charles Bolden, NASA Administrator, Debbie & Roger Clemens, The Clemens Foundation, Dot Cunningham, Be An Angel Board Member & Dr. Joan Shook, Texas Children’s Hospital.

Arriving patrons were greeted by “living statues” painted in gold from head to toe and clad in western attire with angel wings. Emcee Deborah Duncan brought the house down when she followed Gala Chair Carmina Zamorano on the stage mimicking her Latin accent. The evening concluded when good friends Roger Clemens, Jim West, and Mike Bowman grabbed mikes entertaining guests with their singing and dancing until the early morning.
