From the classic cheeseburger to toppings like onion straws, bacon jam, and even mac n' cheese, the eight participating restaurants at our 5th Annual Burger Bash were in it to win it. Guests and competitors alike were eager for the grills to fire up.

Rescheduled from the previous week due to rain, the event faced the additional challenge of yet more rain and cold. But organizers were ready, and the hungry people who packed CITYCENTRE's Garage 5 were protected from the elements. The space was transformed into a meat-lovers' paradise with tastings from The Capital Grille, B&B Butchers, BCK, BB Lemon, The Tasting Room, Rodeo Goat, BuffBurger, and Bellagreen, and a well-stocked selection of beverages from Captain Morgan, Crown Royal, Ketel One, and Saint Arnold. Plenty of real estate was reserved for the over 350 guests in attendance, but also for two VIP vehicles, staged by Jaguar Land Rover West Houston.

Guests made their rounds tasting slider after slider, casting votes for their favorites before the end of the night. Prizes were awarded to Rodeo Goat as the People's Choice, and the judges, in a blind tasting, gave their award to The Tasting Room for flavor and to Bellagreen for Best Presentation. The Battle of the Burgers competition sponsor, Kroger, created a sweet escape with the addition of Sticky Lickits, a brand of edible stickers that make eating fruits and vegetables, particularly at a Burger event, the most fun.

The night ended with a raffle drawing, and three lucky winners took home swag bags filled with gift cards, event tickets, and more. All raffle proceeds and part of the event proceeds will benefit Kids' Meals. Those who didn't win still got to take a little something sweet for the road, grabbing a warm Tiff's Treats cookie for dessert.
