On June 7, just three days before its official public opening, the team at the new The Original Ninfa's in BLVD Place welcomed more than 200 guests to experience the iconic restaurant's renowned Tex-Mex menu. The invitation-only celebration saw local celebrities and media personalities including KHOU's Chita and Lane Craft, former Houston Texans Pro Bowler Wade Smith, KPRC "Houston Life" host Derrick Shore, chef David Cordua, and many more.

The kitchen was run by Chef Jason Gould, Legacy Restaurants Corporate Executive Chef Alex Padilla, and Chef de Cuisine at The Original Ninfa's on Navigation Adan Vasquez. Linda Salinas oversaw the bar, which served up Ninfaritas, the perfect accompaniment to menu offerings such as Mama Ninfa's fajitas, adobo carne asada, and handmade tamales. The 6,400-square-foot space was full all night, so much so that the hostesses had to turn guests away at the door.
