If binge-watching HGTV just isn't cutting it anymore, you're in luck this weekend when the Houston Modern Home Tour returns on Saturday, September 21 for the ninth year.

The annual tour from the Modern Architecture + Design Society—which began in Austin but quickly made its way here—highlights a curated selection of homes that "embody Eastern Texas's unique modern architecture and design aesthetic," a press release says, and affords local architects, designers, and builders the opportunity to showcase their work to the public.

The Houston line-up features eight homes this year, from a Harvey rebuild in Bellaire to a modern Cape Cod-inspired abode near Memorial Park that's on the market for $3.7 million. The 2019 stops are "a true testament to Houston's amazing, inspiring, and increasingly diverse-in-design modern architecture movement," says MA+DS founder and president James Leasure.

Tickets—$40 in advance and $50 on the day of the tour—grant access to each of the homes on the self-guided tour. Proceeds benefit UH's American Institute of Architecture Students chapter, and students will also help staff this year's event as volunteers. Participating homes will open their doors to tour-goers (ages 10 and up) from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday.
