In the market for a Chanel flap bag or a Louis Vuitton Speedy? (Um, who isn't?) You might want to cancel your plans next weekend.

At noon on Saturday, Feb 8, Gallery Auctions will showcase a selection of authentic designer bags and accessories from luxury labels like Louis Vuitton, Hermès, Gucci, Fendi, Chanel, Dior, Celine, Balenciaga, Yves St. Laurent, MCM, and more.

Vintage finds for women and men alike will be up for grabs, including purses, backpacks, duffle bags, briefcases, wallets, bracelets, belts, and Hermès scarves. You can preview the prized merchandise the day before the actual auction—Friday, Feb 7, from 1–4 p.m.—along with light bites and an open bar with craft cocktails.

As if you need any more convincing, here's a little preview of the preview: Expect to find specific models including Louis Vuitton Neverfulls in Damier Ebine, Damier Azure, and Classic Monogram; LV Alma and Speedy bags in various colors; duffles in several sizes; Chanel Classic Double Flaps, and Gucci crossbody bags.

"No question that vintage luxury handbags are an investment, but we will be selling items at all price points at the auction, so it's worth a visit," says Gallery Auctions owner Viki Vines. The Texas auctioneer founded Galley in 1984; today the 27,000-square-foot warehouse—the largest trade source in the Southwest—hosts weekly auctions and has earned a reputation among dealers across the country for its unique and quality inventory, from antiques to new home decor.

Of course, security will be on-site for the auction preview, overnight, and during the sale, which happens to take place exactly one week before V-Day—just saying. Take it from Vines: "Buying at auction is an incredible value, and the timing is perfect for Valentine's Day shopping."
