As we wrap up the month of March and journey into April, we’ve officially shed our winter layers to prepare for longer days of sunshine. Designer Tanya Taylor’s capsule collection for Neiman Marcus is here to liven up our spring wardrobes, adding swatches of orange, turquoise, and crisp whites with clean and cohesive designs.
The Toronto-raised and New York-based designer is known for her use of exciting colors and hand-painted prints. The florals for this release were inspired by feelings of celebration and spontaneity, debuting right on time for Houston’s sunny spring weather.
“This collection is designed for a woman who loves color, has confidence with her personal style, and is excited to mix a sporty and artful attitude for spring,” Taylor, CEO and creative director said in a statement.
Embodying the energy of the season by adapting to both cool and warm weather, the limited-edition capsule utilizes breathable cotton fabrics and compact knitwear. Garments such as the Nadine knit midi dress ($445) with a lace-up back, or the playful and bright Marie striped romper ($395) complement the laid-back yet feminine energy of the collection. On the flip side, the Gabi knit crop-top ($245) provides a versatile, sporty, and trendy edge.
Whether you prefer intricate details like the hand-beaded sequins on the button-down Piper blouse ($345) or an exaggerated style such as the off-the-shoulder Alondra top with puffy sleeves ($365), Taylor’s spring release has something for everyone.
With prices ranging from $245 to $565 and inclusive sizing from 0-22, the capsule collection is available to shop online and in select Neiman Marcus stores.
Since the launch of her eponymous label in 2012, Taylor has dressed the likes of Beyoncé, Tracee Ellis Ross, and Aidy Bryant. In 2020, she won CAFA’s International Canadian Designer of the Year award.
